Sooji ka halwa Recipe

Preparation time: 5 minutes Cook time: 20 minutes Total time: 25 minutes Serving: 2-3 Ingredients:  1/2 cup sooji ( semolina/ rava ), 1/4 cup ghee, 1/2 cup sugar, 10-12 cashews ( kaju), chopped, 1/4 tsp cardamom powder, 4-5 almond ( badam), sliced, 2 cup water. Method:  Step 1: Take a pan and heat ghee into it. Step 2: Add sooji into it and roast it with the help of a ladle.   Step 3: Stir the sooji continuously until it turns golden brown. The brown color of sooji indicates that it is well roasted, it will take 8-10 minutes.   Step 4: Reduce the flame to low and slowly add water into it and cook it on medium flame. Stir and cook to avoid any lump formation.   Step 5: Add sugar and cardamom powder into it and mix it.   Preparation time:15 minutes Cook time:40 minutes Total time:55 minutes Serving: 4 Ingredients:  To marinate: 8-9 chicken legs, skin removed,      1/4 tsp turmeric powder,      2 tsp lemon juice, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp garam masala.  For gravy masala: 2-3 tbsp oil, 2 medium sized Onions finely chopped,  8 Garlic cloves finely chopped, 1"Ginger finely chopped, 3-4 green  chilies chopped, 2 Bay leaves, 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp Garam masala, 1 tbsp Coriander powder, 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder, 1 tsp Red chili powder, 1 1/2 cups water.             Method: Step 1: Marinate chicken by adding salt, turmeric powder, garam masala and lemon juice and keep it aside. Preparation time: 15 minutes Cook time: 20 minutes Total time: 35 minutes Serves: 12 muffins Ingredients: 1,1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 tbsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 large egg,  1/3 cup vegetable oil,        3 medium ripe bananas, mashed, 1 tsp vanilla extract.   Method: Step 1: In a bowl combine all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder.         Step 2: In another bowl, mash the bananas. Step 3: Add sugar in the mashed bananas bowl and mix it.       Step 4: Add egg, oil and vanilla extract and mix well. Step 5: Stir into the dry ingredients ( all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder) just until moistened.     Step 6: Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups half full. Preparation time: 10 mins Cooking time: 20 mins Total time: 30 mins Serves: 4 Ingredients: 400gms pumpkin/ kaddu, 1tbsp oil, Pinch of asafoetida ( hing), 1/2tbsp cumin seeds, 2 tbsp amchoor powder ( dry mango powder), 1tsp Red chilli powder, 2 tsp coriander powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp brown sugar/ crushed jaggery, 1/2 tsp garam masala, Salt as per taste, Finely chopped coriander leaves.       Method: Step 1: Wash pumpkin and cut it into small pieces.
