Prawn curry in coconut milk Recipe

Serving: 4

Ingredients: 

  • 250 gms prawns ( cleaned and deveined ),
  • 2 medium sized onions,
  • 2 tsp ginger paste,
  • 1 tsp garlic paste,
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric,
  • 1 tsp cumin powder,
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder,
  • 1 medium sized tomato,
  • 250 gms / 1 cup coconut milk,
  • 2 tsp coriander leaves chopped.

Method:

Step 1: Add lemon juice to 250 gms of prawns and cover the juice on prawns properly by mixing it.
Step 2: Heat oil in a pan and cook the prawns in oil on low flame by covering the pan for 15 minutes.
Step 3: Add chopped onions in it and cook for 2 minutes.
 
Step 4: Now add 1 cup of water into it and mix it.
Step 5: Add 1 tsp garlic paste, 2 tsp ginger paste in the pan and cook for 1 minute.
Step 6: Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chili powder and a finely chopped tomato and cook until liquid is gone.
   
Step 7: Now add 1 cup coconut milk and cook for 5 minutes. Prawn curry or ready.
Step 8: Add some chopped coriander leave and switch off the flame.
Step 9: Serve it warm with roti, naan or rice.
