Vanilla cake recipe

Cook time: 35 minutes
Total time: 55 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1,1/2 cups all purpose flour/ maida, 
  • 1 cup white sugar,
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter,
  • 2 eggs,
  • 1/2 cup milk,
  • 1,1/2 tsp baking powder,
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract.
                   

Method: 

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F ( 175 degrees C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
   
Step 2: In a bowl, mix sugar and butter until creamy consistency.
        

Step 3: Beat in the egg, one at a time in the sugar mixture.
   
Step 4: Then add vanilla extract to it and mix well.
          
Step 5: In other bowl combine flour and baking powder.
  
Step 6: Now add the flour in the creamed mixture of sugar, butter, egg and vanilla extract in small batches and mix it all well.
       
Step 7: Finally stir in the milk until batter is smooth.
 
Step 8: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
     
Step 9: Bake for 30-40 minutes in the preheated oven. 
Step 10: Check by inserting a wooden skewer in the center comes out clean. Cool cake in the pan for 15 minutes.
Step 11: Unmold and cool completely.
  
Step 12: When the cake is completely cold, you can start to decorate it.
